Jatzlau

Susan Diane Jatzlau was born on Sept. 9, 1961 in Giddings to Edwin “Jack” Charles Jatzlau Jr. and Vallie Jean (Weyand) Jatzlau. She was baptized on Oct. 15, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. Max Studtmann and was confirmed on March 23, 1975 also at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. Emil Krugler.

Susan passed away early the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, surrounded by her family, in Giddings following a fiercely fought battle with cancer.

Susan is survived by her mother, Vallie Jean Jatzlau of Giddings; sister, Polly and Troy Cantu and their daughter Addison Cantu, and beloved dog Cookie of Georgetown; brother, Tim and Sharra Jatzlau of Round Rock and their children, Samantha Jatzlau of Kyle, and Troy Shugart and his daughter Lillie Shugart; three aunts, Inez Weiss of Georgetown, Vera Mae Fricke of Round Top, and Esse Lee and Edgar Fricke of Brenham; several cousins, and special friends, Crystal Smith, Cheryl Maxwell, and Gwen Zoch Kemp.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
