Holl
Suzanne Janak Holl, 60, of Dallas passed away tragically and suddenly on Dec. 9, 2020 after suffering a stroke, her loving family at her side.
Suzanne was born on Dec. 15, 1959 in Houston, daughter to Rose Marie and the late Ernest Janak. She was a 1982 graduate of Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State, where she was a founding member of Zeta Tau Alpha.
Following college she met and married the great love of her life, David, and together they had three daughters that were the center of Suzanne’s world. Her career path was confirmed when she became a mother. She dedicated herself to her family and husband’s career at Mary Kay Inc. and did so with grace, dignity and most importantly, love. Her daughters knew her as the Best Mom Ever. Her teachings of love and kindness are lessons her daughters will keep close to their hearts. They will pass down this grace and humbleness to their future sons and daughters.
Suzanne is loved and missed by her husband of 33 years, David Holl; daughters, Brittany Moore and husband Matthew, Sara Shirey and husband William, and Rachel Holl; her mother, Rose Marie Janak; brothers, Donald Janak and wife Mary Ann, and Ronald Janak and wife Joan; parents-in-law, Bruce and Sally Holl; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends. She is the granddaughter of the late Annie K. and S.J. Janak of Hallettsville and the late Rosie and August Svrcek of La Grange.
Special thanks are owed to those at Texas Health Presbyterian ICU and the staff of Southwest Transplant Alliance for their care of Suzanne and fulfilling her final gift of organ donation.
A Catholic Funeral Mass was held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas with Fr. Michael Guadagnoli officiating. The burial followed at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift can be made in her name to the Mary Kay Foundation at marykayfoundation.org/donate, which is dedicated to finding a cure for cancers that affect women and to end domestic violence.
