Hoehne

Reuben Louis Hoehne passed away on July 20, 2021.

Reuben was born in La Grange to Wilbur Otto and Dora Hoehne on Sept. 9, 1953. He married the love of his life, Gloria Rodriguez, on June 18, 1977 in Alief and later moved to La Grange in 1981 where they had two children, Marcus and Alisha.

Reuben was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He was a noble man that cared for all and was very appreciative for everything he received in life. Reuben was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange and was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 02574 for 10 years.

He is survived by his mother, Dora Alice Hoehne; one son, Marcus Hoehne of La Grange; one daughter, Alisha Gayle Hoehne Perez of La Grange; two sisters, Lillian McCutcheon and husband James of Allen, Janet Chandler and husband Dale of Dallas; two granddaughters, Christiana Gwn Hoehne and Emma Grace Hoehne; grandson, Eric Anthony Louis Perez; along with numerous brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Hoehne; father, Wilbur Otto Hoehne; brother Edgar Louis Hoehne and niece, Leah Branum.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. A private family viewing will be held from 3 to 4 p.m., guests are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Resurrection is scheduled for Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of La Grange with interment to follow at the Freyburg Methodist Cemetery in Freyburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School or to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
