Margie Lou Hill passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021.

She was born July 16, 1938 in Corsicana. After high school, she attended Navarro College, where she met her future husband, Bill Hill. They dated for three months and married Aug. 22, 1958. Bill and Margie were married for 63 years and had two sons, Bart and Carter.

She began her career as a legal secretary, but her favorite job was her antique business. At one time she had seven booths. She loved collecting depression glass, decorating her home for the season, volunteer work, entertaining, socializing with her Red Hat group of 20 women, “The Daytime Divas,” reading, drawing, and supporting her children and their activities.

Margie described herself as very social, fun loving, gregarious, and a little mischievous. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend to many.

She dearly loved her children, Bart and Carter, her grandchildren, Jake Hill, Bailey Hill, Jessie Pawelek, Jackson and Tommy Hoskins, and their family gatherings.

Margie was blessed with wonderful family members including her sister, Frankie Bressie, daughters-in-law, Trish and Bobbi Hill, sisters-in-law, Donna Gregory, Shirley Morris, Martha Wood, and Louise Carter, and many nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hill, parents, Frank and Vivian Carter, brothers Don Carter and Ed Graham, sister Vivian Green, brothers-in-law Darwin Green and James Hill, sister-in-law Bonnie Jackson, nieces Darelle Green Sheets and Mary Elizabeth Graham Chatterjee, and nephews Robert and George Graham.
