Rita Helen Heinrich, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.

Rita was born on Oct. 22, 1938 in Victoria to Edmedio and Sue Barnabei. Rita married Arthur J. Heinrich of High Hill in 1967.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Rita had a passion for St. Rose School as the school secretary for 23 years. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She also loved to sing in church choirs and also lead the singing at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg.

Rita is survived by one son, Mark Heinrich and wife Christine; four grandchildren, Luke Heinrich, Quinn Heinrich, Ally Galipp and Annie Galipp; three nieces, Claire Ashey, Tracey Parker and Elise Barnabei; and several grand nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband in 2001 and three siblings, Claire Barnabei, Betty Ashey, and Harry Barnabei.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary and Mass at 10 a.m. and a Graveside Memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at the High Hill Catholic Church.

The family requests that donations be made to St. Rose School or the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
