Irene Nora (Hackemack) Hartman, 95, of Fayetteville passed peacefully away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

Irene was born in Round Top on July 21, 1924, the daughter of Ernst and Ella (Kelm) Hackemack.

Irene married Burney Delton Hartman on March 15, 1945, in Houston. The couple was blessed to share 71 years together as husband and wife.

Irene was a homemaker and worked as a cafeteria aid in the Spring Branch school district for five years. She enjoyed cooking, Irene was known for her steak and gravy prized dish.

Irene treasured spending time with her husband, Burney. She cherished her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Irene had a sweet, quiet, and gentle spirit. She always put her family and others before herself.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Rohde, and husband, Tom of Fayetteville, and son, Barry Dean Hartman and wife, Esther of New Ulm; two grandchildren: Monica (Rohde) Michalec and husband, Doug and Tommy Rohde, Jr. and wife, Annette, all of Fayetteville; six greatgrandchildren: Tara (Michalec) Murphy and husband, Sean of Fayetteville; Corrie (Michalec) Scardino and husband, Kurt of Weimar; Jared Michalec and wife, Madeline of Winchester; Blake Rohde of Austin; Brett Rohde; Braden Rohde both of Fayetteville; five great-great-grandchildren: Ainsley and Addie Murphy; Owen Scardino; Landon and Brayleigh Michalec; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burney Hartman; four brothers: Norris, Jack, Adolph, and Delton Hackemack.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 12, 2020, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations.

Funeral Services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 N. Rusk St., Fayetteville, Texas 78940 at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Burial followed at Richter Cemetery.
