Farris

Marty Lee Farris, 61, of Round Top passed away April 17, 2021 in Austin. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Marty was born Sept. 7, 1959 to Ben Janse Ray Farris and Dorothy Lee (Perry) Farris in Alice. On Nov. 1, 1980 he married Bonnie Eichhorn.

Marty was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Lee and Ada (Anderson) Perry; his paternal grandparents, Viola (McPherson) and Fletcher Morris Farris; and an infant brother.

He is survived by his mother, wife Bonnie (Eichhorn) of Round Top; daughter, Ashley Farris and son-in-law, JJ Reyna; stepson, Chris Pereiro and wife Jaymie; sister, Susan Farris Washington and husband Raymond; grandchildren, Jaxon, Jaelyn and Trey Reyna and Zander, Zowen, Zion, Zaccai Pereiro, and Christian Pereiro; and nieces, Victoria and Cassandra and other family and loved ones.

Marty enjoyed gambling with his wife, fishing, gardening and riding Harley motorcycles. But spending time with and watching his grandchildren grow was the highlight of his days.

As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Round Top Volunteer Fire Department, Fayette County EMS, or to the National Diabetes Association in his name.
