Clifford James Ermis, affectionately known as C.J., Born on Dec. 14, 1964, in La Grange to Basil and the late Anne Ermis, C.J., spent his formative years surrounded by the love and support of his close-knit family. He was a cherished brother to Norman Ermis and his wife Rita, who fondly remember him as a kind and generous spirit. C.J.’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on March 10, 2026, in West Point.

C.J. attended La Grange High School, where he formed lifelong friendships. He dedicated many years to the field of general construction.

A man of faith, C.J. lived his life guided by Christian principles. He was an active member of his church community, where he found great comfort and fellowship. embodying the very essence of what it means to be a good neighbor and friend.

In C.J.’s younger years, he found joy in hunting and fishing with friends. Later in life, C.J. discovered a passion for cooking.

Those who knew C.J. will remember him for his friendly demeanor, his willingness to lend a hand.

C.J.’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. We take solace in the knowledge that he is now reunited with his beloved mother and resting in eternal peace. His legacy of friendship, love, and kindness will live on through the countless lives he touched.

As we say goodbye to C.J., we celebrate a life well-lived— a life filled with joy, love, and an unwavering commitment to others. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Plum on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends at this time. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 12 p.m. Following the Holy Rosary a Memorial Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m.
