Gladys “Gail” (Trlicek) Dozier, 87, of La Grange, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021. Gail was born in La Grange
Gail was born in La Grange on Aug. 7, 1934, the daughter of Peter and Sophie (Konvicka) Trlicek.
She married Charles Wilburn Dozier in November of 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. The couple renewed their vows on April 26, 2008 and held a beautiful ceremony also at Sacred Heart.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation No. 1962 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Gail enjoyed cooking and was famous for her delicious chili and roast. She loved cooking for her family and friends on many occasions. Gail accumulated a large collection of cookbooks over the years. She also was known for her “green thumb.” Gail took great pride in gardening. Most of all, many will remember Gail for her kindness and her giving heart. She would always put others before herself, and spent a large part of her life taking care of her family. She held a special place in her heart for her beloved sisters.
She is survived by one son, Kelly Dozier of Beeville; three sisters: Florence “Mickey” Oeding; Dorothy Adams; Linda Hobratschk and husband, Harvey, all of La Grange; special nieces: Debbie Oeding of Bastrop; and Dora Polasek of La Grange; special nephews: Kevin Oeding of Arizona; Jason Hobratschk of Florida; and Sonny Knippel and wife, Pegi of La Grange; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Wilburn Dozier; two sisters: Tonie Knippel; and Clara Justice and husband, Otis; brother-in-law, Everett Adams; and nephew, Dennis Adams.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A Holy Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services were
Funeral Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 539 E. Pearl St., La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.
