Nancye Cordelia Bailey Curcio passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 4,1932 in Clyde to John Thaxton and Ellen Yarbro Bailey. Nancye’s grandparents were Dr. John Houston and Cordelia Thaxton Bailey of Clyde. Nancye graduated from Clyde High School and attended McMurry University in Abilene. She married Benny Ross Everett, and they raised three children together.

She was remarried to Tony R. Curcio, a realtor, in 1988. They spent 24 very happy years of love and companionship together; they were the best of friends.

Nancye may best be remembered by her daily presence while working at Athletic Supply in Abilene. She made many friends there, workers and customers. Nancye was a People Person.

Being a darn good golfer, Nancye enjoyed watching Tiger Woods’ career. But football was her favorite sport, and she loved her Dallas Cowboys.

Mrs. Curcio is survived by one brother, Dr. John A. Bailey of Horseshoe Bay; two sons: David Everett (Maria) of Mansfield, Robert (Bobby) Everett (Dolores) of Clyde and daughter, Terri Everett Kansteiner (Mark) of La Grange; seven grandchildren: John David Everett (Rose), Krystal D. Rummell, Joe C. Rubalicado Zachary Ross Everett, Matthew Ross Muzny (Bethany) and Adam Michael Muzny; eight greatgrandchildren: Hannah Everett, Aubrey, Jacob and Wesley Muzny, Henry Ross Muzny, Douglas, Garrett and Brendan Rummell.

There will be a private gathering at a later date.
