Cooper

Charles James Cooper, 81, of Smithville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, two days before his 82nd birthday. Charles was born in Austin on Feb. 12, 1939, son of Clyde and Letha (Screws) Cooper.

Coop is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy Louise (Knight) Cooper; one daughter, Deanna Toddy and her husband Steve of La Grange; two sons, Blaine Cooper and his wife Francine of Elgin, and Alan Ferris and his wife Denise of Round Top; one sister-in-law, Peggy Hessler and husband James of Sommerville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two nephews; his faithful dog Maggie and cat Monahans.

The memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, 3:00 p.m. at Young School House Church, Easley Rd., Upton, TX 78957.
