Arthur H. Brandt Jr. of Weimar, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of 84. He was born on July 12, 1936 in Weimar to Arthur Hubert Brandt Sr. and Adeline Trefny Brandt.

Arthur graduated from La Grange High School in 1954. He served our country in the United States Army from 1959- 1961 and continued in the Army Reserves until he was honorably discharged in 1965. He married Gloria Ann Herzik on July 22, 1968. After working many years as a welder, he retired and spent the rest of his days continuing to raise his beloved Angus Cattle.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Sr. and Adeline Brandt, brothers Hubert and Franklin Brandt.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Ann Herzik Brandt; children, Debbie Piper (Ronnie), Arthur “Bubbie” Brandt III, David “Butter” Brandt (Amy), Roxane Brandt (Brian Hudec); brothers, Ervin Brandt, and Donald Brandt (Darla); sister, Arline Watson; Seven grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at the Weimar United Church of Christ, 403 W. Main St., Weimar, Texas 78962, Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow afterwards at the Brandt Family Cemetery in Holman. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Piper, Steven Piper, Brendan Brandt, Russell Herzik, Joey Herzik, A.J. Brandt, Ronald Rosenauer, Dustin Herzik, and Clay Heller.
