Judy Lynn (Gooden) Benton, 74, of La Grange passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Jan. 18, 2021 at her home in La Grange.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Judy was born Oct. 14, 1946 to Jack Lindley Gooden and Aleta Nadine (Craft) Gooden in Healdton, Okla.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carolynn Gooden Aldermann and Marylynn Gooden West; and brother, Jimmy Gooden.

She is survived by her husband, “AB” Benton; son, Brandon Benton; grandson, Landon Benton; brother, Bill Gooden and wife Susan; sisters, Jackie Gooden Sutton and husband LRay, Ginger Gooden Burris and husband Fred; best friend, Dana Killion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other family, friends and loved ones.

Judy spent many years in the Real Estate industry as a Realtor working for Round Top Realty. Before her illness she was the “caretaker” of her family. Her favorite hobby was her grandson Landon. She loved every minute she got to spend with him.
