Troy “Beau” Lynn Bennett, Jr., 59, of La Grange, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021.

He was lovingly known as “Beau” by his family. He was born in Dallas on Sept. 21, 1962, the son of Troy L. Bennett, Sr. and Billie “BB” (Burch) Bennett-Connor.

He attended Tomball High School and later enlisted in the Army in 1983 and honorably served his country from 1983 to 1985 with his specialty serving as military police.

Troy worked as a Community Supervisions Officer with the Fayette County 155th Judicial District.

He met the love of his life, Kim Haba in 2009. Troy and Kim were both blessed to have shared thirteen years together.

His many enjoyable past times included fishing at the coast and cooking for his family and friends.

Those that knew Troy will remember him for his heart of gold. He was the type of person that never met a stranger. Troy had a true “servant’s heart,” throughout his entire life. He strived to always put others before himself.

Troy was such a caring, gentle, and thoughtful person. He held a special place in his heart for animals. Often times, Troy could be seen alongside his favorite furry companion~ his dog Jake.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Haba; mother, Billie “BB” Connor and stepfather, David Connor of Carmine; father, Troy L. Bennett, Sr. and stepmother, Connie Bennett of Brenham; one brother, Bryan Bennett of Houston; two uncles: Gene Burch of Shreveport, La.; and Buddy Burch of Dallas; one aunt, Barbara Clark of Garland; three sisters-in-law: Lisa Rolirad and husband, Andy; and Jeanine Ulrich, all of Schulenburg; and Terri Rijos and husband, Rob of Port Orange, Fla.; two brothers-in-law: Steven Haba and Darryl Haba, all of Austin; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Oleta and Vernon Bennett; stepfather, John Edwards; and three aunts: Genie Bynum, Jo Ann Allen, and Lynda Tucker.
