The Texas Quilt Museum Announces Upcoming Exhibits and Local Events

The Texas Quilt Museum (TQM) is taking advantage of the natural Zen of its locale to offer some new programs that enrich the body, mind, and spirit, including: • Sound Bath Sundays Sundays at 5 p.m. Envelop yourself in serene surroundings and let the healing sound of music wash over you! Waves of soothing, echoing sound from traditional wind and percussion instruments, also known as a “sound bath,” may help with stress, fatigue, depression, and illness.

LHS Holds Academic Recognition Banquet

La Grange ISD hosted its annual Academic Recognition Banquet Wednesday at the Casino Hall. The event recognizes the Top 12-percent of graduating seniors and allows each of those students to select a special teacher to honor during the banquet. As each duo took the stage, Master of Ceremonies Peggy Supak read thoughts from the student about the teacher and thoughts from the teacher about the student. Gretchen Kuck, a 2016 LHS grad, who is now a agricultural economist in Washington D.C. told the grads to “value the things you have to offer... your different perspective is incredibly valuable.”
