Prayers Urged as LG Mom Recovers After Accident

The driver of the passenger vehicle involved in the horrific crash near Kirtley last Friday was Sarah Logsdon, the Children’s Minister at First Baptist Church of La Grange. Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash, but a report was still not available as of Wednesday, Sept.

The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society meeting will be held Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at the TCHCC Hanslik Hall in La Grange. The guest speaker will be Polka News Editor, Gary McKee, who will speak on the origin of the Polka Mass. Members, please bring a snack to share. New potential members or guests are welcome.

St. Barnabas Blessing of the Pets Oct. 5

On Saturday morning, Oct. 5, in conjunction with their monthly prayer booth on the first Saturday of each month at Bishop Pavilion, Chesley Park (Market Days), Father Mike Keppler, Vicar of St. Barnabas’s Anglican Church, will offer a short service of Blessing of the Pets at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Each animal will be recognized with a “Bless my pet” medallion for its collar and a personalized St. Francis prayer card.

Courthouse Music Series Returns to Fayetteville

Music has played an important role in the history and personality of Fayetteville, and the historic courthouse and town square have played supporting roles in providing a family-friendly venue for many community and music events over the years. These roles are combined with the bi-annual Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series.
