Young Farmers Hay Show Cancelled

The Schulenburg Young Farmers Hay Show and Sale scheduled for Sept. 3 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hay show and sale normally takes place each year in conjunction with the Fayette County Fair, which has been cancelled as well.

The Schulenburg Young Farmers will continue to do the hay testing this year. The deadline to test samples will be August 15. The test fee is $10 and you will receive your results in the mail.

Drop-off locations are at La Grange Farm and Ranch, MG Farm Service in Weimar, and Bumper Crop Texas and Farmers Co-op both in Schulenburg. Any questions, contact Mark Vecera at Bumper Crop Texas.
