Trio of New COVID Cases Are at LGISD

La Grange ISD received word Wednesday that three more students had tested positive for COVID-19.

One was in the 11th grade, one in the 8th grade and one in the 7th grade.

None of the students’ cases appeared to be connected to one another, said La Grange Superintendent Bill Wagner. Additionally, none of three students had been in school this week.

As a precaution 13 students and one staff member from the high school that may have had close contact with the 11th grader were sent home Wednesday. Two siblings of one of the middle school cases were also sent home. Parents with students on the high school and middle school campuses were notified Wednesday. Wagner asks students and their families to wear masks and utilize other good social distancing practices not only when in school but when out in the community as well.
