SLM Hosts Parking Lot Worship Service, Memorial Day Service Held in Ellinger

The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County held a parking lot worship service on Sunday, May 24 at St. John Lutheran Church in Warrenton at 10 a.m. The parking lot worship was deemed a success with worship leaders, ushers, parking attendants, tech support, thirty-two cars of worshipers, five cars of visitors and two dogs in attendance.

Memorial Day Service

Flags flew at half mast for a special memorial and prayer service. The event was held on Memorial Day, May 25 at the Ellinger Community Center. Citizens met at 9 a.m. under the pavilion near the flag poles to honor those who have given so much for America’s citizens. A brief presentation was given, followed by prayer from Pastor Marcia Kifer of St. John Lutheran Church of Ellinger. Guests enjoyed desserts following the ceremony. Social distancing was observed.

Ellinger Sewer and Water

The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corporation will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday June 8. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.

Ellinger VFD

The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Station.

Rainfall

Ellinger received 2.7 inches of rainfall Memorial Day weekend. No serious weather events accompanied the thunderstorms.
