Seven Vying for Fair Queen

Seven local young ladies will vie for the title of 2020 Fayette County Fair Queen.

Ticket sales begin July 1 and season passes are $35 for all four days of the fair.

Online sales will also be available beginning July 1.

Scholarships will be awarded to the winners on the opening evening of the fair, Thursday, September 3 at 8 p.m.

Here are the Queen Contestants:

• Carly Bonds, a senior at Flatonia High School and sponsored by Flatonia Chamber of Commerce

• Cierra Fitzpatrick, a junior at La Grange High School and sponsored by Kyla Faith Memorial

• Halie Peter, a junior at La Grange High School and sponsored by Fayette Co Sheriff’s Posse

• Raygen Pyle, a sophomore at La Grange High School sponsored by La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce

• Abigail Stockdale, a senior at La Grange High School and sponsored by Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club

• Tiyonna Washington, a sophomore at La Grange High School and sponsored by La Grange Optimist Club

• Layne Wied, a junior at Fayetteville High School and sponsored by Knights of Columbus Lodge #2574
