The Board of Directors of the La Grange Senior Citizens Activity Group, Inc. met on Thursday, Sept. 9 at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. One of the main items on the agenda was the decision whether to hold the regular meeting/meal scheduled to be held this fall. The group unanimously voted to postpone the activity. It was felt the current situation would be detrimental to the health of its members. It was voted to tentatively have a meeting with speaker and meal in the spring of 2022.
The La Grange Senior Citizens Activity Group meets twice a year with a program, speaker and a meal. The group also takes a couple of day trips each year. There are approximately 125 members in the group and anyone 55 years of age and older who lives in La Grange and the immediate area is invited to join.
The Board also voted to have board members and officers continue in their positons for another year, even if their term expires in 2021.
