Schulenburg Deceased Veterans Honored
The Schulenburg Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 143 put the United States of America flags on all deceased veteran graves on Memorial Day. This program started a number of years ago. They were put out on the graves in the morning and taken down the same day. Years later we decided to leave them all week long. We then decided to honor them by leaving the flags on the graves the whole year. It was then decided to replace them every year on Memorial Day.
