RT Lions Club Hosting Movies on Henkel Square
The Round Top Lions Club presents Free Friday Outdoor Movies on Henkel Square. Every Friday beginning July 10-Aug. 28, the public is invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the movie. This series kicks-off on Friday with the showing of Toy Story 4. The movies begin at 8:15 p.m. No outside alcohol is allowed. Please maintain social distancing between groups. Blood Drive

Texas Casual Cottages has partnered with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to host a blood drive at Texas Casual Cottages Model Home Park on Highway 237 in Round Top on Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Successful blood donors also are eligible for a COVID-19 antibody test. Round Top Anniversary
The Round Top 150th Anniversary celebration that was originally scheduled for later this summer has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 8, 2021. For more information visit exploreroundtop.com. Events that were previously scheduled include a six-team BBQ cookoff, Historic Home Tour, games, 1,000 birthday cupcakes, live music, Round Top’s Brass Band and a live performance at Festival Hill.

Round Top-Carmine ISD is in the process of making plans to safely re-open.
School at all grade levels for the 2020 school year is set to begin on Aug. 19. There will be more specific information available to parents, guardians and the community during the week of July 20. The safety of the students and their families, as well as the community and the staff, is being taken very seriously; guidelines and protocols are currently being developed for return to in-person classes. Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor John David Nedbalek are held on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Social distancing is in place and extra safety precautions are being taken.

RT Christian Fellowship

Library
Did you know Round Top is the smallest town in Texas with a full-service public library? We are so lucky to have it here, and the library is doing a great job continuing the summer programs while ensuring everyone’s safety.
The library’s new hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 1:30-3:30 p.m., Thursday 1:30-5:30 p.m. and closed on Saturday and Sundays.
The Kid’s Summer Education and Enrichment (S.E.E.) program is online and open to all children. A local newscast with kiddos from our community airs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is available for viewing on the website or their social media pages. Free activity materials will be available for pickup at RTFL during regular hours while supplies last.
The Summer Reading Program runs through the end of this month—get those books read. Each book read offers an opportunity to win a prize each week. There will also be a grand prize drawing to win an Amazon Fire Tablet at the end of the program.
