Restaurant Relief Fund To Help Support La Grange Restaurants

The restaurant industry as a whole has taken quite a financial hit during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to combat some of the hardship, The Texas Restaurant Association created a relief fund to benefit independently owned restaurants throughout the state. More than 10 of our very own La Grange restaurants applied for this grant. The City of La Grange’s Office of Community Development and Tourism wants to make sure they all get fully funded at $5,000 each.

“We would like to thank our partners that have already contributed to the fund: Pioneer Bank, National Bank & Trust, Round Top State Bank, Fayette Savings Bank and Prosperity Bank,” said Stacey Norris, director of community development and tourism for the City of La Grange. “Their donations, along with a major contributing donation of $10,000 by La Grange’s Economic Development Corporation have already secured $15,750. The goal is to obtain an additional $35,000. “

In order to reach this goal, the La Grange’s Office of Community Development and Tourism is hosting a La Grange t-shirt and tea towel fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the Texas Restaurant Association Relief Fund.
