Record Wins Sweepstakes Award from Gulf Coast Press Association
The Fayette County Record won the Sweepstakes award as the top semiweekly newspaper in the Texas Gulf Coast area at the 84th annual Texas Gulf Coast Press Association Convention at the Sugarland Marriott over the weekend. Judging was done by members of the Panhandle Press Association and was for work done during the 2021 year. The Sweepstakes award is presented to the newspaper that places higher in more categories that any other. The sweepstakes winner in the large weekly division was the Port Aransas South Jetty and the winner in the small weekly category was The Flatonia Argus.
