First Presbyterian Church Welcomes Guest Preacher From Outreach Foundation Sunday, Oct. 18

This Sunday, Oct. 18, First Presbyterian Church of La Grange is delighted to host Rev. Nelson Bell as our guest preacher on behalf of the Outreach Foundation at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Rev. Bell is a retired Presbyterian pastor who served as an Associate pastor at Highland Park in Dallas as well as a Senior Pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Outreach Foundation. He comes from a long line of distinguished pastors as his grandfather was a medical missionary to China as well as the founder of Christianity Today. Rev. Bell’s father was pastor of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for over 25 years and his uncle is Rev. Billy Graham.

The Outreach Foundation is helping First Presbyterian Church, La Grange establish a relationship with a sister church, Christ the Saviour Church in Kyiv, Ukraine, as part of their global missions outreach. The Outreach Foundation has been around for over 45 years and works in over 50 countries helping churches fuel their mission work.

For First Presbyterian Church, this means establishing a personal relationship with the people who make up the congregation in Kyiv, a congregation trying to carry out its work in the midst of war, for their sanctuary was hit by a drone just three weeks ago.

This Sunday’s offering will also go to support the work of the Outreach Foundation and all of its mission partners in over 50 countries around the world.
