Fayette County Democratic Meeting

The Fayette County Democratic Party’s monthly meeting will be held on Zoom at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13. Craig Moreau, Chief of Emergency Management for Fayette County, will be the guest speaker. Send an email request to chair@fayettetxdemocrats.org to receive a Zoom link to the meeting.

La Grange Band Booster Club

It is time to renew your membership or join the La Grange Band Booster Club for the 2020-2021 school year. Band Boosters support the band by providing scholarships, financial support for band trips, meals and snacks for away games and some band practices and much more. Membership is due by Aug. 28 if you would like to receive a free band t-shirt. Membership forms can also by picked up at the LGISD Administration Building.

LG Chamber Golf Tournament

The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Golf Tournament Sept. 5 with a Tee Off at 1 p.m. at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club in La Grange. $500 4-person scramble plus mulligans, closest to the pin, longest drive, all included. First place tie will be played off. Sponsorships are available. Virtual Crisis Counseling

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services is a non-profit organization offering mental health and primary care services to Central Texas counties, particularly underserved rural communities. Through a FEMA grant, they are offering free crisis counseling in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
