Quenten Gonzalez Joins La Grange City Council
Quenten R. Gonzalez was officially sworn in last week as the newest member of the La Grange city council.
Gonzalez replaces John Eilert, who did not run for reelection.
“I may be a big city boy by birth, but I got to La Grange as fast as I could. I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving my community and to continue making La Grange a great place to live, work and play for all of it’s citizens as a city council member,” Gonzalez said.
“I applaud Mr. John Eilert and what he has accomplished during his tenure on city council. I thank him for his kind words he has shared about me; I look forward to carrying the torch he has passed and to always do what is best for La Grange.”
Gonzalez was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Houston and he and his family moved to La Grange in 2006. He and his wife Emily have been married for 17 years. They have four children, Jasmine has completed her senior year, Camille will be a sophomore, Quenten will be in second grade and Willis will be in first grade.
“Faith, family, and serving my community are the most important things in my life.”
He faithfully attends and volunteers his time at The Remnant Church in La Grange. Quenten has served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Champion Valley, Fayette County Habitat for Humanity and Tejas Health Care, before becoming an employee of Tejas Health Care in 2016.
