Navidad Valley CattleWomen to Host Annual 5K Ranch Run

Navidad Valley Cattle-Women will hold their 7th Annual 5K Ranch Run on August 1, 2020 in conjunction with the Schulenburg Festival. The Reunion Theme will continue this year as it has inspired family fun and teamwork. This means that along with the traditional age group prizes there will be additional runners recognized. The categories include: largest family group, youngest participant, most “seasoned” participant, and runner who traveled the furthest to participate. The funds raised will be awarded to graduating seniors from Fayette, Lavaca and Colorado counties with an interest in Agriculture. Navidad Valley CattleWomen have presented over $60,000 in scholarships since they first awarded scholarships in 2006. There is both a 5K and 1 mile option. To be guaranteed a shirt, runners/walkers should register by 7/20/20. The Navidad Valley CattleWomen, a local chapter of the Texas CattleWomen, is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes the beef industry.

The Navidad Valley local works to support local youth with scholarships and provide quality information on the industry and how to incorporate beef into a healthy diet.
