National Bank & Trust Elects New Chairman of the Board

National Bank and Trust (NBT) is excited to announce Michael Corker has recently been elected Chairman of the Board.

Michael has served as a director for National Bank & Trust since 2001. In 2019 Michael received his Certified Community Bank Director Designation from Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Michael holds a bachelor’s in business administration degree from Loyola College. He and his wife Lisa have owned Hart Land Real Estate for over 30 years.

“Michael’s experience and commitment to La Grange and its surrounding communities is a true asset to NBT. We’re lucky to have him on our board of directors,” said Tracy Harris, President/CEO of NBT.

As a licensed realtor and local business owner Corker has served on numerous boards since moving to La Grange in 1993, including president of Fayette Memorial Hospital Foundation; St. Mark’s Medical Center Foundation president since 2005; and St. Mark’s Medical Center Board of Directors since 2017. Michael has deep roots in community service and has been actively involved with organizations like La Grange Rotary, La Grange Main Street Board, La Grange Chamber of Commerce and Fayette County Tourism Association to name a few.

One of his favorite sayings is “We live here, we give here” and that is a tenet he strives to live by.
