LP Gas Magazine Features Tex Propane in June Edition

LP Gas Magazine, a nationwide trade publication for the propane industry, featured Tex Propane Company of Schulenburg on its cover story in the June 2020 edition.

The story spotlighted Tex Propane employee Johnny Kuehn, who manages the company’s office in Moulton, Kuehn’s customers in the Moulton area always know when he’s coming down their driveway from the shiny chrome and paint on his immaculately-kept delivery truck. The magazine article profiled Kuehn’s dedication to maintaining his truck and the company’s image.

“There’s nothing like pulling up to a customer’s house and them asking you if you got another new truck when its still the same one,” Kuehn told LP Gas.

Kuehn said he thinks of his truck as a “rolling billboard” for his company.

“At the end of the day, if it’s dirty I wash it,” Kuehn said. “I do a lot of commercial work, and the last thing I want to do is pull into their parking lots to fill some cylinders and leave big clumps of mud.”

Kuehn said in a Facebook post after the publication came out that when LP Gas interviewed him for a story about truck maintenance, he thought the article would appear in “some small corner” of the magazine. He was quite surprised to see his truck on the front cover.

“Do yourself a favor and go that extra mile,” Kuehn said. “Someone will notice.”
