LCRA Donates $104,000 To Local Food Banks
The Lower Colorado River Authority has donated $104,000 to 52 food banks throughout the LCRA service area to help support communities during these challenging economic times.
LCRA provided $2,000 to each of the 52 community food banks to help provide food to people in need.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged all Texans to take care of one another, especially with so many people currently out of work,’’ said Phil Wilson, LCRA general manager. “There is perhaps no greater calling than the work these organizations do in providing food for people who have no other place to turn. LCRA is honored to support them.”
The recipient food banks are in Austin, Bandera, Bastrop, Burleson, Burnet, Caldwell, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hamilton, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Lampasas, Lavaca, Lee, Llano, Mason, Matagorda, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba, Schleicher, Tom Green, Waller, Washington and Wharton counties.
