La Grange Rated Highly in U.S. News and World Report’s Best High Schools Rankings

La Grange High School has been listed among The Best High Schools in America rankings by U.S. News and World Report magazine.

Out of more than 18,000 high school ranked in America, La Grange placed 4,655. Among more than 1,500 high schools in Texas, La Grange ranked 389.

“This is because of the hard work and dedication shown by our teachers and students,” said La Grange High School Principal John Pineda. “It’s especially appropriate to announce this now because it’s Teacher Appreciation Week.”

Advanced Placement coursework and exams participation rate at La Grange High School is 35%. The total minority enrollment is 45%, and 48% of students are economically disadvantaged.

The total enrollment at the high school is 629 and there is a 12:1 student-teacher ratio.

Rankings were based on Advanced Placement participation and passing rates, math and reading proficiency rates and graduation rates.
