La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Aug. 2-9.
Assault
On Aug. 4, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to the 400 block of N. Vail for an assault.
On Aug. 5, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Horton in regard to a threat that was made. Maxwell upon arrival took information for a report.
On Aug. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. Travis in regard to an assault. The complainant told Maxwell that the subject had left prior to his arrival.
On Aug. 6, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a male subject walking up and down the street in front of the complainant’s residence threatening her in the 400 block N. Vail.
On Aug. 8, Anderson was flagged down by a complainant in the 400 block of N. Vail and stated the subject from the previous call at the location had assaulted her.
Accident
On Aug. 3, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of Fireside in regard to two vehicles that were involved in an accident. Officer was able to locate the third vehicle that struck the callers two vehicles. Officer took information.
Alarm
On Aug. 2, Patrolman Brian Adams responded to the 100 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass for a door alarm. Officer found all to be secure.
On Aug. 4, Patrolman Cari Haman responded to a residential alarm in the 700 block of S. Madison. The residence was secure however there was a vehicle in the driveway.
Agency Assist
On Aug. 5, Patrolman Justin Koehne assisted with an intoxicated driver in the 1600 block of N. Jefferson.
Bomb Threat
On Aug. 8, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a possible bomb threat at a residence in the 500 block of Cindy Lane. Officer arrived and found it to be drug paraphernalia.
Burglary of a Vehicle
On Aug. 5, Zwahr met with caller in the 500 block of Sarah Jo for a burglary of a motor vehicle. Officer took information.
Burglary
On Aug. 3, Haman received information about an incident in the 1500 block of E. Highway 159.
Disorderly Conduct
On Aug. 3, Zwahr responded to a disorderly subject at One St. Mark’s Place. Subject left upon officers request.
On Aug. 3, Zwahr spoke with subject at One St. Mark’s Place in regard to an incident with their children. No offense occurred.
On Aug. 8, Zwahr responded to a call in regard to a disturbance in the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Subject was gone upon officers arrival.
Family Violence
On Aug. 3, Anderson received a call in regard to a disturbance in the 300 block of Woodhollow involving two males and two females.
On Aug. 3, Zwahr responded to a drug related incident in the 100 block of S. Lynnwood. Officer took information.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On Aug. 5, Adams was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis where complainant advised of a vehicle that had been parked in the parking lot for a week. Officer verified that vehicle did not register as stolen. Registration was expired and vehicle was locked. Officer advised that he could tow the vehicle at owners expense if he wished.
On Aug. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a suspicious male. Caller stated that the male subject was loitering outside of the lobby. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate the male subject.
On Aug. 6, Wostrek was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Cedar in regard to a suspicious person. Officer arrived on location and located the subject. Subject stated he worked for Vivint Security System.
On Aug. 7, Zwahr responded to the 400 block of E. Walnut for a peddler in the area. Officer found the subject who had a permit.
On Aug. 7, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person who was knocking on front doors and walking into people’s homes in the 500 block of N. Washington. Officer located the suspicious person and helped him get back home.
Theft
On Aug. 3, Haman responded to the Executive Inn in the 1700 block of Highway 71 Business in reference to a subject saying there was someone in his room and he could not get inside. Upon speaking with the subject he was able to gain entry to his room and no one was inside, however he could not locate his money clip that had his drivers license and money.
On Aug. 7, Zwahr met with a caller in regard to yard signs being stolen in the 800 block of N. Monroe. On Aug. 7, Anderson received a call in regard to a theft in the 400 block of N. Vail.
On Aug. 8, Haman responded to the 200 block of W. Pearl for subjects taking political signs from several citizens’ yards.
On Aug. 8, Mohr received a call of a theft of property in the 500 block of W. Lafayette.
Trespassing
On Aug. 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to several subjects who were trespassing. Officer arrived and spoke with the subjects. One subject had an outstanding warrant. Subject was arrested and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
On Aug. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N.Vail in regard to a subject who was trespassing. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the caller who advised the subject had left the location.
On Aug. 8, Zwahr issued a criminal trespass warning to a subject in the 200 block of S. Jefferson.
Verbal Dispute
On Aug. 9, Zwahr responded to the 700 block of Eckel Street in regard to a disturbance. Caller advised subject had left and all was fine.
Welfare Check
On Aug. 3, Mohr received a call of a subject lying on the ground in the cemetery in the 800 block of E. Travis. Subject advised he was fine and just resting. Officer helped him get going again and on to his destination.
On Aug. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Pearl in regard to a welfare check on a male subject. The male subject stated that he felt overheated. The male subject was transported to St. Mark’s emergency room.
Miscellaneous
On Aug. 2, Patrolman Brian Adams was dispatched to the 1800 block of Highway 159 in regard to a vehicle parked in front of her business with a flat tire. The vehicle was reported stolen and it was impounded at the police station.
On Aug. 3, Anderson responded to the 900 block of S. Washington in regard to a call about complainant’s boyfriend harassing her and refusing to leave the location.
On Aug. 4, Mohr received a call of a possible scam that was later determined to be a legitimate company offering extended vehicle warranties.
On Aug. 4, Mohr received a call to meet complainant in the 900 block of E. Colorado in reference to a report of fraud.
On Aug. 6, Wostarek took a call from the 1700 block of Old Plum Highway and caller stated that a vehicle was parked on private property and it did not belong there. Officer advised caller that the property owner would have to have the vehicle towed.
