La Grange Police Issue Curfew Violations
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 17-24.
Curfew Violation
On May 20, Patrolman Justin Koehne located several juveniles out after curfew in the 400 block of E. Pecan. Subjects were issued a citation and released to their parent.
Agency Assist
On May 17, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr assisted at the jail with an inmate.
On May 18, Zwahr assisted deputy on a traffic stop in the 200 block of S. Jefferson Street.
On May 18, Zwahr assisted deputy on a traffic stop in the 1300 block of N. Jefferson.
Assault
On May 21, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of Fireside in reference to an assault. Officer took report and arrest was made.
On May 21, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of an assault in progress in the 2200 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer arrived and worked scene for an assault case.
Accident
On May 21, Patrolman Cari Haman responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of W. Guadalupe Street and N. Jefferson with minor injuries.
Animal Complaint
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Vail for a found dog. Officer transported dog to animal control.
On May 20, Zwahr responded to an animal complaint in the 500 block of S. Main. Owner arrived and took custody of the dog.
Civil Matter
On May 23, Zwahr spoke with caller in regard to eviction information.
On May 23, Patrolman Brian Adams responded to the 500 block of E. Pecan where parties requested information on eviction process after residing together for two years. Officer recommended that they contact precinct one justice of the peace and follow lawful guidelines.
Disorderly Conduct
On May 22, Adams responded to the 600 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass where hotel manager advised of guests causing a disruption in lobby and refusing to pay their bill. Manager requested they leave the premises and officer spoke with guests who packed their belongings and vacated in a timely manner.
Family Violence
On May 22, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of S. College to a disturbance. Officer took information.
On May 23, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Koenig Lane in regard to family violence. Officer arrived on location and spoke with both parties and the male subject was arrested and transported to the justice center.
Harassment
On May 18, Adams obtained information regarding harassment in the 500 block of N. College.
Juvenile Complaint
On May 17, Mohr received a call of a juvenile that a parent was having trouble with in the 100 block of S. Brown and upon officer’s arrival the juvenile went back home with the parent.
Reckless Driving
On May 18, Wostarek responded to the 300 block of S. Main for a speeding vehicle in the area. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.
Suspicious Person
On May 19, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell spoke with a subject in regard to suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of E. Walnut.
On May 19, Wostrek responded to the 600 block of S. Madison where caller stated they heard someone on their porch. Officer arrived on location and searched the area and was unable to find anyone in the area.
Suspicious Vehicle
On May 18, Zwahr responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of E. Lafayette. Officer was unable to locate vehicle.
On May 23, Adams responded to the 2000 block of W State Highway 71 Business for a vehicle parked in the parking lot and found the vehicle to be registered locally. Vehicle was unoccupied and was not reported stolen.
Scam
On May 18, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 500 block of S. Main where caller stated that he was looking for a boat on craigslist and was exploited by a scam. Officer took statement and correspondence regarding the incident and completed the report.
On May 20, Mohr received a call to call a business owner in reference to fraudulent emails. Officer advised the owner about installing safeguards on his system.
Trespassing
On May 19, Sgt. Travis Anderson issued a criminal trespass warning to an individual in the 400 block of N. College.
On May 19, Adams met with complainant in the 700 block of E Fannin in reference to subject trespassing in her house.
On May 24, Zwahr spoke with a caller in regard to criminal trespass.
Theft
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Brown Street for theft.
On May 21, Mohr received a call of theft in the 800 block of N. Madison.
On May 21, Zwahr received information from a citizen in regard to a theft case.
Verbal Dispute
On May 22, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger Road in regard to a verbal dispute that had occurred earlier in the day.
Welfare Check
On May 18, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of W Northline where caller stated that her elderly father has dementia and walked off from the location. When officer arrived the caller had located him and brought him back home. The subject was fine.
On May 18, Koehne responded to the 700 block of N. Washington to check on a subject. Officer made contact with the subject and they were fine.
On May 23, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of W Travis for a welfare check on a male subject standing on the side of the bridge. Officer arrived and spoke with the subject who stated that everything was fine. The subject was given a ride back to his residence.
Miscellaneous
On May 18, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline in regard to loud music. Officer was advised that the music was turned down prior to his arrival.
On May 20, Currington was dispatched to the 200 block of Ellinger Road in regard to criminal mischief. Officer made contact and took information.
On May 20, Mohr received a call of loud music in the 800 block of S. Washington. Upon arriving in the area officer was unable to locate any loud music.
On May 21, Mohr received a call of loud music in the 400 block of N. Vail. Upon arriving officer could not find any loud music.
On May 23, Meinardus responded to the 200 block of Ellinger Road for a motion alarm at Bealls. A key holder arrived on location and officer searched the building, but found no sign of forced entry or burglary.
