La Grange Man Cited for Drug Paraphernalia
La Grange Police cited a local man for marijuana possession last Sunday while investigating a suspicious person knocking on doors.
According to a report from La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, police received a call around 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, reporting a suspicious person knocking on doors along North Jackson Street. The caller reported that the subject left riding a bicycle traveling south on Jackson Street.
Officer David Mohr responded and found the suspect in the 700 block of East Travis Street. Mohr stopped the bicycle and idendifies the suspect as 44-year-old Eric Kollaja of La Grange.
“Officer Mohr could smell burnt marijuana emitting from Kollaja’s clothing,” Gilbreathg said. “Mohr performed a patdown search for weapons on Kollaja. Officer Mohr located a useable amount of marijuana in Kollaja’s pant pockets, along with other drug paraphernalia.”
Mohr issued Kollaja a summons to appear at Fayette County Court and then released him.
