Holy Cross Warda Sewing Circle Needs Volunteers
Ladies, are you looking for things to do to keep you busy and still have social distancing? The Sewing Circle at Holy Cross can use your help. If you can cut a fabric square or trim a stamp, you can help us. Squares are used to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief and the stamps are sold to collectors to help pay for the shipping of the quilts. They gather each Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. They enjoy taking a break at 10 a.m. to have coffee and snacks while sharing friendly updates on family and friends. They would love to have you join them. If you would like more information, contact Cindy Heselmeyer at Cindyhesel@yahoo.com or just come out and join in on Thursday morning. They meet in the old parish hall around the back side of the church.
BBQ Pork Fundraiser
Although the Warda picnic will not be held this year due to social distance restrictions, Holy Cross Lutheran Church hopes you will come out to their drivethrough BBQ pork fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 6.
They will sell BBQ pork by the pound and BBQ sauce togo. BBQ will be $11/pound and cups of sauce will be $2 each. The drive-thru at the church picnic grounds starts at 10 a.m. There will be no other picnic activities held this year.
