Hallet Oak Gallery In Hallettsville Announces Summer Art Contest

Calling on all artists of all ages who would like to share creative ability. The theme for this summer contest: “What did you do in the last three months?” Use any medium. Show us your creative efforts.

Entering is easy. Take a photo of your artwork and email it by July 31 to venue@halletoakgallery.com and include your full name and age. Prizes are sponsored by H-E-B. Georgia Pohl, Hallet Oak

Georgia Pohl, Hallet Oak Gallery’s master art summer instructor has some suggestions:

• Have fun being creative. The best art comes from the heart!

• Do not be afraid to start something over if you are not happy with the first result.

• Look around you for inspiration but use your imagination as well.

“The Gallery looks forward to seeing what you have done and sharing it online and publishing the winners. Remember the deadline for entering is July 31. Good luck and happy creating,” says Georgia Pohl.

Mieko Mahi, Hallet Oak Gallery’s executive director explains, “With safety as a priority the Hallet Oak Gallery will be closed until August. The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, is encouraging people to remain vigilant, wear a pandemic mask in public, social distance, and stay home if they can. We are continuing to promote the 2020 artists for online sales, offering curb side purchases and we are encouraging donations and raffle sales through our website www.halletoakgallery.com and we are continuing rentals of the Gallery.”
