Friday Outdoor Movies Continue with Avengers End Game Friday in Round Top
The Round Top Lions Club’s Free Friday Outdoor Movies on Henkel Square continues this week with Avengers End Game. This movie series continues every Friday through August 28. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the movie with your family. The movies begin at 8:15 p.m. No outside alcohol is allowed. Please maintain social distancing between groups.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine ISD is planning to open with staggered start dates. On Monday, August 24, grades 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 will begin. On Tuesday, August 25, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 grades will attend, while the other grade levels stay home.
Bus transportation will not be provided on these days. Normal bus schedules will resume on Wednesday, August 26, when all grade levels return to campus. Schools will not open until 7:30 a.m. RT-C’s full plan for reopening this school year is posted on their website at www. rtcisd.net.
Chamber of Commerce
The Round Top Chamber of Commerce monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month; the next meeting is scheduled for August 13, with an 8:30 a.m. social and meeting start-time of 9 a.m. If you are unable to attend the meeting, the minutes and agendas are posted on the Chamber’s website.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church services with Pastor John David Nedbalek are held on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Social distancing is in place and extra safety precautions are being taken.

RT Christian Fellowship
Round Top Christian Fellowship church services have been moved to 9 a.m. and are being held outside under the covered pavilion. This is an effort not to be in a closed space during the pandemic. Family Library
The Round Top Family Library’s current hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and closed on Saturday and Sundays.
The Books, Boots and BBQ event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at the Round Top Rifle Hall. The evening will be filled with entertainment for the entire family and a BBQ dinner from LJ’s BBQ in Brenham will be served. Stay tuned for more information about this great community event in the coming weeks. Tickets and tables are available for purchase on the library’s website.

Walk for Life Changes
New Beginnings Pregnancy Center’s annual Walk For Life event has made a few adjustments for this year’s event. Although the actual walk will not be held, the raffle and meal tickets are still being sold. The Chick-fil-A meal will be drivethru only. Plates may be picked up on August 8 between 6:30 and 8 p.m. by the Amphitheater at Hohlt Park. The deadline for purchasing meal tickets is today.
Raffle tickets are available until August 7. Prizes include a seven-night getaway at a scenic US resort, a two-night stay at 2N Quarterhorse Ranch in Brenham, two-night stay at Happy Place Cottage in Brenham, a two-night stay at Blessing Cottage in Brenham and a $125 gift certificate to Bellville Meat Market. The drawing will be held on August 8.
