Fayetteville Welcomes New Antiques Store to the Square

A new store at 124 North Live Oak on the town’s east side of the square will be having its grand opening on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The store, Vintage Rose Market, will offer antiques, home goods, vintage clothing and linens. A beer and wine bar will open soon in the same location.

Store Location Moving

The Spoiled Quilter Shop will be moving from the west side of the square to 405 E. Main Street, just three blocks east of the square, next to Fayetteville Store. The shop will be open for business at the new location on Thursday, July 30. The store will be closed on July 27, 28 and 29 for moving purposes. Business hours will remain the same: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Feasts Cancelled

The annual church feasts of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, scheduled for the last Sunday of August, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, scheduled for Labor Day Sunday, have both been cancelled for 2020. This was decided in prayerful consideration of the health and safety of the community.

Organ Dedication

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fayetteville will be having an organ dedication on Sunday, August 2, at 2 p.m. This will be a virtual concert featuring several excellent organists, most of them from St. Paul. The public can help the congregation with the refurbishing of the organ by contributing to the organ fund.

SLM Worship

The congregations of the Shared Lutheran Ministry will have a joint worship service on Sunday, August 9, to say goodbye to Vicar Jonathan. This will be his last Sunday with the congregations as he continues his career as a pastor. The service will probably be a parking lot service, with more details to come.
