Seeking Signatures
Tom Kubena and Joe Lamer are canvassing the Ellinger Community seeking signatures for a petition (10% of the population) - the first step towards in corporation. Signing the petition is not saying that you approve of the idea; this step would allow the issue to appear on the ballot in the November General Election. Voter approval will be needed to establish the Articles of Incorporation.
Incorporation means that a community of homes and land has come together to form a city or town. The people who live there are then able to make more decisions about what happens in their city or town.
