Drilling to Begin September for New Ellinger Well
The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corporation held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 13, at the Ellinger Fire Station. Greg Hunger, president, called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. with six board members in attendance. The Board reviewed and approved the minutes from the June meeting.
Next Bradley Loehr presented the engineer’s report. He noted that he made contact with Russell Drilling Co. Inc. and the firm should be in Ellinger in September to begin drilling the new water well. The board also agreed to cancel the contract with the present plant mechanical and electrical contractor per USDA. A new contract will be negotiated at a later date. Request for Proposal Packages for the ground storage tank have been prepared by BEFCO and are due July 24, 2020. Next, Scott Manual of Inframark presented the manager’s report. Manual noted that aerator # 1 repairs have been underway and the new gearbox is expected to be delivered July 21, 2020, and the aerator should be installed the following week. There have been some water leaks due to the dry conditions. Members are asked to continue to conserve water. There was discussion about the grease trap inspections which should be getting underway soon. The board voted to postpone the rate increases until January 2021. Additionally the board approved the financial report and payment of current bills. The next meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 10, 2020.

The Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County (SLM) will be holding a parking- lot worship at Warrenton on August 9, 2020. The service will begin at 9:00 a.m. Worship services will still be aired at 12:00 noon on KTIM- 89.1 and recorded for viewing on Facebook – www.sharedlutheranministry.org.
Ellinger VFD The Ellinger Volunteer Fire
The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department will re-schedule the “New Rescue Tools” Training session. The training session that was to be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, was cancelled because the instructor had covid 19.
Fayette County is currently under a burn ban. Please, no outdoor burning due to the dry conditions.

Rilan Karisch turned seven on Thursday, July 16. He was honored with a party at the Karisch Barn that evening. The party followed a “Duck Dynasty” theme and included a redneck water park. The kids enjoyed all the activities.
Aubrey Renee Horndt celebrated her third birthday on Friday, July 17. She enjoyed her princess party with close family and friends in Ellinger.
