At about 4:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, the Ellinger VFD was dispatched to a vehicle roll over in the eastbound lane of State Hwy. 71 between FM 955 and Krenek Road. Upon arrival at the scene the fireman found an 18-wheeler on its side. It was had been loaded with sand and overturned as it swerved to miss a whitetail deer.
