Czech Heritage Christmas Party Held

The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society held its Christmas Party at TCHCC in La Grange on Dec. 19. It was a festive event with a large turnout of members and guests, who sang Czech Christmas songs, enjoyed a turkey and dressing meal with dessert cakes, played a Czech trivia game, and exchanged gifts. Fayette County resident Madelyn Karstedt, the reigning Miss Czech-Slovak U.S.2025-2026 Queen, was introduced and spoke of her experiences since being crowned. She, along with 20252026 Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Little Princess Lillie Karstedt, introduce Maelynn Wasut as a candidate for Fayette County CHS Little Princess. The next Fayette County CHS meeting and annual Soup Social is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 at TCHCC in La Grange. The 2026 officer election will be held.
