Crystal Theatre, Texas State Partner For Choir Program

The Historic Crystal Theatre in Gonzales is pleased to announce Crystal Choir, a new regional choral program created in collaboration with Texas State University.

The program welcomes high-school-age singers through young adults, from beginning singers to those with extensive vocal experience.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Nov. 3, and will be held Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. at the Crystal Theatre. Singers will receive high-quality choral instruction and ensemble experience under the musical direction of Craig Aamot, a member of the Texas State University choral faculty.

The program will culminate in a special holiday concert on Dec. 13 featuring Crystal Choir in performance with Texas State University’s VocaLibre. The collaboration gives area singers an opportunity to develop their voices, work with other singers from the region, perform in the historic Crystal Theatre, and collaborate with a Texas State University vocal ensemble.

Applications are now open. Early registration is $50 through Oct. 25; the registration fee increases after Oct. 25.
