Cynthia Kulak Celebrates Graduation
Cynthia Kulak celebrated her graduation from the University of Texas with a small family gathering at her parents, Darrell and Dana Kulak’s, home. Cynthia and her friends, Rob Gomulak and Hailey, came in from Austin and were joined by Cynthia’s brother, Elton Kulak, and his girlfriend, Miko Anderson, from Houston.
Also coming down for the private gathering was Miko’s parents, Sharon and Fred Anderson, and brother, Alex, of Dallas. They all gathered to watch the graduation services broadcast by the university. The family all had a great time visiting and eating.
Cynthia is planning on working at Disney in Florida in August. She has worked for Disney in the past and is hoping to make this her career.
Community Yard Sale
Karen Jacobs is organizing a community yard sale to be held on June 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are at least eight signed up at the time of this writing who are offering up what they have cleaned out during the quarantine. They will be set up in the area of the Muldoon Museum in downtown Muldoon. If you would like a spot, please contact Karen at (281) 682- 5625. You will need to provide your own tables to set out what you have to offer for sale.
Buyers are welcome to come and check out what treasures have been uncovered and are being offered for sale. Health guidelines that have been set by the county will be followed to keep everyone safe.
Rain
Muldoon had a wide range of rainfall over Memorial Day weekend. Anywhere from an inch to three inches were reported from the area. It all depended where you were under the cloud, and it could vary as much as an inch within two hundred yards.
There were some strong winds in the recent fronts that came through, and a couple of the storms brought some small hail in certain spots. All of this rain has things greening up and looking really good for the end of May.
Road Work
Summer is here and that means road work in the area. The signage is up and work will soon begin on FM 154 north of Muldoon. Seal coat will be shot from Buckner’s Creek to West Point. There might be some delays in travel due to the road work. Just be aware and make your travel plans accordingly.
Neighborhood Watch
Even during these strange times, we all need to be watching out for our neighbors. If you see something out of the ordinary, call your neighbors and check on them. Make sure the odd vehicle is a wanted visitor and not someone scoping out the place to steal something.
Make a phone call to check up on your neighbors, especially the elderly, to see how they are doing and whether they might need help. We all have to pull together like the small community that we are to make it through these strange times.
