The number of COVID-19 cases in Fayette County, as of Sunday night, had dropped to its lowest level in months.

County officials were reporting there were 19 confirmed active cases here and six probable cases.

That total of 25 cases is down from a combined 47 active+probable total a week ago.

There have been eight deaths in Fayette County attributed to COVID since the start of the pandemic.

Some 429 people in Fayette have recovered from COVID according to county officials.
