Coronavirus: No New Cases, Nursing Home Testing Begins

According to Fayette Co. Emergency Management Coordinator Craig Moreau, plans were moving forward to test all nursing home staff and residents in the county Thursday, June 11. He said there will be five separate teams from the Texas Military Division conducting the testing, likely be made up of National Guard troops. Moreau said the county has also been in talks with the state to host another drive through and/or walk-up testing day. The date has not been finalized. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Fayette Co. at press time Wednesday had not risen since the weekend and still stood at 38.
