La Grange Police detained a 16-year-old boy from Colorado County on Tuesday. May 26, after the staff at HEB allegedly caught him vandalizing the men’s restroom.
According to a report from La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, the grocery store called police Tuesday morning after they found the youth using a can or spray paint to write graffiti on the walls of the restroom. Gilbreath said the youth came to HEB with his sister who was shopping Gilbreath said the youth brought the can of spray paint with him.
Gilbreath said the youth wrote strange symbols on the walls of the restroom.
“I’m not sure what they are, but I don’t think they are gang symbols,” GIlbreath said.
Gilbreath said the boy was from the Weimar-Columbus area. Police took the boy the Fayette County Juvenile Probation Department, Gilbreath said.
