City of La Grange Covid-19 Updates

At the La Grange City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 26, City Manager Shawn Raborn gave the following update on City services during the COVID-19 crisis:

Library Operations

The library opened May 12 with shortened hours of operation. The library is open Tuesday - Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The number of public computers is limited due to social distancing requirements. All programs have been suspended and the meeting rooms are closed. The library will continue curbside service for customers Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m..

Casino Hall

Casino Hall and visitors center opened on May 5 with social distancing procedures in place. Casino Hall is limiting the number of visitors to 10 at a time. The building is open to the public 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday.

City Hall

City Hall reopened on May 25 with social distancing procedures in place. The City continues to encourage customers to use the drive-through window as much as possible.

Recreation Center

Randolph Rec Center is preparing for the opening of summer camp on June 1.

Playscapes

In accordance with CDC guidelines, park playscapes will remain closed until June 1. The City is reviewing ways to reopen and while staying in accordance with social distancing requirements.

Splash pad

The City plans to open the splash pad on June 1 with a limit on the number of visitors in order to maintain social distancing.

Swimming Pool

The City plans to open the pool on Saturday, June 5 with COVID-19 protocols in place. On opening weekend, the pool will be in operation from 3-7 p.m. both days. The City will limit pool capacity for the first few weeks. Beginning on June 10, the pool will be open from 9 a.m. - noon and then from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday and 3-7 p.m. on Sunday.

Municipal Court

La Grange Municipal Court court will reopen on the next scheduled court date, which is June 11. The court has completed the required COVID-19 Operating Plan for the Municipal Court. These procedures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone associated with the City of La Grange Municipal Court.

Police Station Lobby

The Police Station lobby will remain closed at this time. The Police Department continues to encourage citizens to use the drive-through window as much as possible.
